Hair removal procedure for Angelina LIPOSOLUBLE WAX

  1. Preheat the wax in the heater to 39-40 °C degrees.
  2. Treat the depilation area with a pre wax lotion.
  3. Keeping the cartridge inside of the wax heater, roll the preheated cartridge with wax along the depilation strip. Make sure that the wax is warm enough.
  4. Apply the wax onto the treated area in the direction of the hair growth.
  5. Apply the strip while keeping the end of the strip in a wax-free area.
  6. Tightly press the strip to the skin.
  7. While holding the free end of the strip, remove the strip with a fast movement in the direction opposite to the hair growth and parallel to the skin.
  8. Repeat the procedure on the next area. Do not apply wax on the same area more than twice.
  9. On completion of the procedure remove any wax residue or stickiness with an after wax lotion.

Most common mistakes during depilation with warm waxes

  1. Wrong application (against the direction of the hair growth ) and wrong removal (in the direction of the hair growth), which results in failure to remove hairs from the skin.
  2. Ripping the strip off perpendicular to the skin leads to hematomas.
  3. Multiple wax application onto the same area leads to damaging the upper epidermis layer

Contraindications: Acute and chronic skin diseases in the area of depilation. Varicose veins in the area of the procedure.

Depilation procedure for Angelina FILM WAX

  1. Preheat the wax to 40-42 °C degrees.
  2. Treat the depilation area with an alcohol-containing lotion to degrease the skin and remove any traces of cosmetic products.
  3. Apply a small amount of talc.
  4. With a spatula, apply a thin layer of wax, regardless of the direction of the hair growth, but towards you, leaving a small "petal" which will be used as a grip later on (try to perform depilation in the armpit area in one application). ATTENTION! Do not rush during the application, press the spatula firmly, putting the necessary pressure on it.
  5. The wax will harden in 4-10 seconds. During this period it will stick to all the hairs (wax, which is ready for removal, should not stick to the hand when touched).
  6. Holding the skin taut in the direction opposite to the tear-off, remove the wax with a fast movement, in the direction away from you and parallel to the skin.
  7. Repeat the procedure on the next area.
  8. Upon completion of the depilation, treat the skin with a soothing, cooling, oil-free product by Italwax.

Basic errors while using Film Wax

  • Wax stretches like caramel and is difficult to remove.
Reason: not enough time passed for the wax to harden.
What to do: put some talc powder onto the wax, wait 2-3 seconds and remove.

  • There are some hairs left after wax removal.
Reason: the wax was applied superficially, without pressing the spatula to the skin, so the hair didn’t get into the wax layer.
What to do: apply the wax onto the skin with the remaining hair, fix the hair in the wax more thoroughly, pressing the spatula firmly to the area of hair removal.

  • The wax does not harden.
Reason: the layer of the wax applied is too thick (as in the classic hot wax depilation).
What to do: carefully spread the application to a larger surface. Next time apply a thinner layer of wax.

  • The edges of the wax application remain on the skin after removal.
    Reason: Uneven application of wax.
What to do: Create an application of the same thickness in the middle and on the edges.

Main rules for working with Angelina SUGAR PASTE

Attention! Execution of sugar depilation procedure requires special skills!

  1. Sugar Paste is always applied against the direction of the hair growth and removed in the direction of the hair growth, parallel to the skin.
  2. During application of the paste, movements should be soft and gentle.
  3. During removal of the paste, movements should always be sharp and fast.
  4. Prior to removal of the paste, the skin of the treated area must be held taut. This helps to avoid "sticking" and reduces pain.
  5. After removal of the paste, always touch the skin surface with the free hand, this neutralizes and diffuses the pain ("anti-stress" movement).
  6. Do not treat the same area more than three times in order to avoid skin damage.
  7. Do not treat skin areas with obvious skin damage or neoplasms of the skin.

The most common mistake made by inexperienced cosmetologists when working with Sugar Paste is "sticking" of Sugar Paste.

Ways to correct the mistake:

  • Option 1: Hold the skin taut in the place of sticking and remove the paste with a fast movement.
  • Option 2: Apply additional amount of talc onto the place of sticking, stretch the paste that sticked up to the area treated with talc, and remove the paste with a fast movement.
  • Option 3: Add a new piece of paste to the sticking spot, stretch it above the sticking area and remove with a fast movement.
  • Option 4: Apply bandage to the sticking spot, press firmly and remove the bandage together with the paste
  • Option 5: Wipe away the sticking paste with a wet napkin or wash it off under running water. Note though that it will be possible to resume the depilation procedure only when the skin is completely dry
